Closing the gap between delivery and invoice

Harborline Freight · Multi-depot haulage

Harborline Freight coordinates daily work around Rotterdam. Its team had a reliable local routine, but a change during the afternoon shift often reached the office after the yard had already acted on the original plan. The first rollout covered one depot and a week of ordinary loads.

The operations lead and Ben Carter agreed a shared reference for every journey. Dispatchers recorded exceptions beside that reference, warehouse staff confirmed arrival and release separately, and accounts could find the delivery evidence without asking a driver to resend it.

After two weekly reviews, the team expanded the routine to the next shift. The useful result was fewer clarification calls during handover, rather than a new reporting target. A named duty planner still checks unusual loads before the day closes.

The rollout used release 2.8.7 on the Lantern train. New starters follow the same getting-started guide, while changes to appointment windows go through a short weekly review with the receiving team.
